Workshop Saturday

The mask dance workshop is held for 1.5 hours and the participants get an introduction to the mask dance's function in a historical perspective and the mask dance's basic elements based on an animistic way of thinking, which naturally wants to influence the physical as well as the mental work during the workshop. Masking / expression is learned when the participants master the basics of the dance.
The participants also want an introduction to the Greenlandic drum dance and will be the form of music we use throughout the workshop. Great emphasis is placed on the very creative learning process of the dance and the work of finding the specific primordial power of each participant.
